Frequently Asked Questions
How much does 1-1 private tutoring cost?
1-to-1 private tuition starts from £40 per hour for secondary students, with lessons available online or in person at our Slough centre. 1-to-1 tuition runs throughout the year, subject to tutor availability.
What is the Halo Learning Accelerator™ Method?
It is our structured system for personalised tuition: baseline assessment, targeted teaching, a personalised learning plan, homework and review, regular testing, unseen mock exams at appropriate points and continuous progress monitoring.
Who is 1-1 private tutoring suitable for?
Any student in any year group of secondary school - the format is personalised around individual strengths and gaps rather than tied to one specific subject or exam stage.
How is 1-1 tutoring different from group tutoring?
1-to-1 tuition gives a student the tutor's undivided attention and a fully individualised pace. Group tuition costs less per session and adds peer discussion, shared methods and camaraderie, while both formats use the same structured Halo approach.
