Frequently Asked Questions
How much does GCSE group tutoring cost?
GCSE group tutoring starts from £20 per hour per student. Classes run during term time and cover a range of GCSE subjects at our Slough centre, with availability based on the timetable.
How many students are in a group tutoring session?
Groups have a maximum of 10 students and are typically around 5-8. Students are matched by age, level and learning needs so the class remains interactive while tutors can still give focused support.
What are the benefits of GCSE group tutoring?
The matched group environment creates a positive class dynamic and strong camaraderie. Students can bounce ideas, methods and problem-solving approaches off one another, learn from different ways of thinking and build confidence contributing in class, while still receiving structured guidance from the tutor.
What is the Halo Learning Accelerator™ Method used in group sessions?
The same structured approach used across Halo is adapted for the group setting: baseline understanding, targeted teaching, homework and review, regular testing, unseen mock exams at appropriate points and ongoing progress monitoring so each student continues moving forward.
